The Bronze Serpent And The Wellspring

一. 以色列人的罪 The sin of the people

1.不满足神过去为他们预备的
Were not satisfied with God had done for them

2.不信托神将要我他们作的
Did not trust in God would do for them

3.埋怨神和祂的仆人摩西
They spoke against God and Moses

二. 以色列人悔改认罪 Their repentance and supplication to God

1.神使火蛇进入百姓中间
God sent fiery serpents among the people

2.他们认罪：“我们怨渎耶和华和你，有罪了“
They confessed their guilt

3.他们求摩西为他们祷告
They begged Moses to pray for them

三. 神的拯救—凡被咬的，一望铜蛇就活了 The deliverance of God—whoever looks upon the bronze serpent shall live

A method God appointed

2.合适的方法
A method which is suitable to us

3.有效的方法
A method which is effectual for us

四. 举起铜蛇的意义 The meanings of lifting up the bronze serpent

1.预表基督钉十字架
An antitype of Christ crucified

2.表示罪和肉体要受审判
Sin and flesh must be judged

3.基督的见证：吸引万人来归祂
Christ’s witness—Draw all to Him

4.基督被举起，賜下圣灵
Christ was lifted up that He might give us a life in the Spirit
